NoVa Site-in get to together
 

Just wondering if we could generate enough interest fora get together/rifle site-in at Phelps Range either Saturday the 23rd or Saturday the 30th of September.

If interested, post here and we can decide exact time and date.

Maybe Saturday the 30th... I have plans on the 23rd... I have been by CF Phelps many times, butI have just never hunted it.

I can be there either day. I probably will be there on the 23rd for dove hunting in the afternoon anyways.[:-]

Went there yesterday and checked my weapons. .243 2" high @ 100yds. .270 3" high @ 100yds. 50 cal. 1" high @ 100yds. I think I'm good for the season.

Why aren't you guys bowhunting??? Urban archery in Fairfax started last sat....i went out yesterday and saw like 12-15 deer and 2 bucks

Legacy - the reason is simple. :DI don't have a bow! Well that I am just starting out and haven't been hunting yet. I know, a shame isn't it. Maybe by the end of this years season I can get out once. That is after I find some one to take a newby and show him the rope. Trying to get into a hunter safty class now.

I would be there (Fairfax) in a minute if I had somewhere to hunt. I hear that the population is out of control, and that everyone is complaining about the deer eating everything, but no one will give permission to hunt.[&o]

If you know of anyone that wants a little population control, I can be there in an hour.:D

Besides, It's to Damn hot to kill a deer! I don't ever start til after the frist frost.


Everything set looks like it'll only be a couple of us saturday. The range don't open til 0900 I think. I'll be there then. Expect a crowd this close to season. Bring your own targets and some clothspins if you have them.
