Thats cool Butch.

What exactly are some of the problems that they are facing that caused the prices to increase.

Thanks....

Nodog, Virginia still has this ridiculous, antiquated, archaic, old fashioned "Blue Law" where we can't hunt on Sundays. But yet we can do anything else imaginable on a Sunday.

It's a never-ending battle and I just tried to find out why and find out/learn why they increased the license fees by $5 bucks. I learned a whole lot during that meeting and realized just how badly hurt/tarnished/broke down and battered, Virginia's Game & Inland Fisheries dept really was. They need support, not hostility. They have NOTHING to do with Sunday hunting and are not in control of it. That lies with the General Assembly and the state of VA.

If you go to the VDGIF website and see the changes for 2006 season they give a paragraph on the reasons for raising the fee $5. I'm just glad the lifetime fee only raised $5 not $100 which is what it would cost if extrapolated the 20 year expected useage. I'm glad I bought mine already. What I would like to see is a sportsman's lic. like GA that has all tags (including fishing and trout) rolled into one, cheaper, price. I'd love a lifetime version of that without having to get tags every year, just theNF stamp.

BTW,I am a supporter of the Sunday ban. I guess I'm ridiculous, antiquated, archaic, and old fashioned.
