Just wanting to hear how opening weekend for for the rifle season in Texas faired for everyone.

Rain followed by drizzle and intermittent showers. I hunt Coryell Co. and I hunted Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. I saw a 4pt chasing does on Sat afternoon, and the same 4pt and about 12 does this morning. I also saw a decent 8pt this morning. He stopped about 50yds in front of me and looked around for a few seconds before moving on. He looks to be a 2-1/2 yr old. He had a wide rack, (well past his ears) but short tines. Hopefully he'll make the season and get a little older.
Some j@*%@$$ had shot up my blind. They had torn one of the windows off of it when I checked it early Sept. but now they pried the lock open and I found probably 2 dozen bullet holes. Hope the sheriff or GW finds them before I do.

I did well shot a good 9 point I will post the pics and tell the story in the deer hunting forum when I get the pics. Bruce Smith it was shot in milam co.I think its north of were you hunt.
