Hey Boomer Sooner I haven't scounted yet either. Saw a buck on the side of the freeway coming though MO yesterday and his rack was passed his ears. Hoped to see some like that in OK this year and bring them home!

Howdy guys,

I figure I may as well let my first post on huntingnet.com, be in the Southern Section.

I'm full blood Okie. I live in the far S.E. corner of the state.

As for the 50 pointer, I do recall that deer being taken. I'm reasonably sure I also know the man that was lucky enough to take it.

As to the mention of the town of Watson, I happen to be camped out in a cabin about 7 miles to the South of Watson. Sometimes the only way out of the hills when it rains is via Watson, or finding your way through Arkansas.

I'm an Okie Transplant, (Utah Native), I have seen some nice ones this spring down by the Red River, I live in OK and work in Dallas so most of my scouting is done on the way to work or Home at the end of the week.
Should be a better season then last year.

If i could just find the pictures i have some that were taken on the verdigris river down by Inola while i was hog hunting. I live around the Claremore area.

I'll be coming home to hunt thsi year a few times......Grw up just north of Chickasha, just west of a town called Pocassett.... we have a 6 square mile section to hunt just west of Newcastle with alot of land with the same owner on the canadian river in between Tuttle and newcastle, looks to be a good year..... I will be putting out cams at the end of this month to try and pattern a buck I saw last year, but did not get to him before the rut, he broke one whole side off, just could not bring myself to arrow a half of a 160 inch 10pt.... so maybe this year he will get a arrow....
