Shot it the day before yesterday (5-12-05) with my .308 and 110gr varmint loads.
A farmer I know called me and told me he had a wild boar runnin around on his property chasin cows and he said a rifle wouldnt kill it...thing is a rifle to him is a .22 so I knew that he was using a .22 on it
Anyway I stepped off behind his barn to wait on the hog, while I was playin with some of the cows and tryin to watch after this one young bull that didnt think too kindly of me being in there, I saw the other set of cattle on the other side of the creek take off running. Thats when I saw the little porker dive into a creek and then back out where the cows were chasing it!
It got straight infront of me about 70yds away and turned around and bit at the nose of one of the cows LOL
He finally turned back around and started running, and when it got about 30yds infront of the cows, I let him have it. 110gr bullet goin 2500fps through the right side ribs at 70yd on a dead run
He (actually a she) piled up about 50yds away in some DEEP grass along a fence. It weighed about 90-110lbs and man was the skin on this dude thick! We gutted it on the tailgate of my bronco and the skin on it musta been a good 1" thick to the first layer of fat.
Now Im waitin on the processor to call and tell me to come get it
