RE: beaver hunting
Just get some Aqua velva and head out for the local bar!!! They don't like the wind it's bad for the hair...:D

RE: beaver hunting
Anytime is good, the prefer the evenings but rain or wind certainly does not discourage them at all. You might want to open up one of their dams a bit and then ambush the toothy buggers when they return to repair the damage. Try to make a head shot on them if at al possible, a beaver not hit well will go a long ways, thrash around and sink. You need to crackem good in the head to stop them dead in the water. Good luck

RE: beaver hunting
check your hunting regs. I know your not able to hunt them in several states.

RE: beaver hunting
will a .22 kill them
|
RE: beaver hunting
most likely with a head shot.
|
RE: beaver hunting
yes a .22 will do the job when hit in the head. For side shots put one in the ear, front on in between the eyes, swimming away back of the head. but don't skimp on the ammo. I have used a .22 for years with pretty good sucess. I suggest cci stinger hollow points or else remington yellow jackets. If you use cheap ammo its definatley going to show.
