rabbit snare

I have lots of rabbits around my house. i was thinking i could trap one but the trap i have is too small. does anyone know how to make a snare/trap. i'd prefer the animal to be caught alive. the area the rabbits are in is kind of open with some small patches of woods. any help will be appreciated.

also, i do not really need advice on which traps to buy seeing as i dont feel like buying one. i just thought that if there was a way to trap a rabbit for no cost then i'd try it. thanks again

RE: rabbit snare

Use a stick, box, and string with a carrot for bait!:D No, in all reality, I think the best trap you could make for rabbits would be a hole trap. Did a whole 3'X3xX3'x and put thin wires with leaves on top. When the rabbit jumps on the wires, the trap gives and he falls.
