Default got permission to do some "animal damage control!"

Went out driving around today, and saw a ton of pocket gophers on the hay fields near where I live. Talked to the lady who owns the property where they were, and she said to go out there whenever I wanted. Should be a fun spring!

Right on. It's always good to secure more land to hunt on. Especially when it's crawling with varmints, lol.
Today I just secured 59 acres of foothill brushlands (with a stream right through the middle ). On my little 1 hour scouting trip I took out a gopher from like point blank, and a ground squirrel from 50 yards, and there was plenty of bird life around too (including some nice looking doves). And this was all in the rain. I can't wait 'till the sun comes out. This should prove promising.

P.S. I'm with deersniper101, pick me up too, lol. I'm only one state away from you...

Went out for about 2 hours today with the Marlin model 60, missed more than I hit, but managed to get about 10. May take my .223 out for the longer shots that I encountered. Saw probably in excess of 300 in about 100 acres or so, have a full 640 acres to hunt.
