trapping for a dog

hey i got a coon hound that got out of her pen a little while back, and she stays in the creek bottoms by our house, but i'd like to get her back in her pen. She's not real good about coming to you when you call her, so i was wondering if somehow trapping her would work...any ideas?

we do it all the time in out hunt club.some people have dogs that they can't catch so we set live traps for them.all you need it a larg trap and canned food.

yes except it is made of 2"x4" weilded mesh wire.I made a few for the club,2'x2'x4'. it is kinda like the box trap with a swing door that swings down when tripped.
most dogs want go into a box trap, but will go into a wire trap, kinda like going into there pen.

I buils mine using 1/4" metal rods.I make two squares 2'x2' then connect them with 4 rods 4' long.make a treddle in the bottom with a rod that goes to the front to the door.you need to get all this done befor you put the wire on it.after you get you treddle and door made and working good then wrap it in wire and put the back in and your ready.I use hog rings to connect the wire to the rods.

go to you local feed store and look at one of there (humane traps) and you will get the idea of how to make one.
hope this helps.

does she like people food ? cook up a juicy steak and coax her back into the pen. I know that would work for both of my dogs a bluetick and labrador.
