RE: 223 bullet
ive had really good luck with 50 grain speer TNT hollow points on yotes I have yet to have a pass through. I have tested these with ballistic gellatin on impact the bullet begins to fragment in the first inch and by the 4th inch into the block of gellatin the bullet is nothing but lead and copper fragments.

full copper jackets (fmj) work real well if they are legal in your state. they make a small hole going in a small hole coming out. and the target still gets the knock down energy. we also use winchester 45 gr. hollow points with a little or no exit hole.

Where I live there are roads just about every mile and the land mostly is flat. IMO FMJ bullets should not be used in my area . Maybe your area is more rolling or less roads .
Just be cairful with FMJ's.
