I wouldn't say that is enough. Get a .22 pellet gun or a .177 that shoots atleast 675-700 fps.

I agree with zak get a .22 or a .117 that shoots at least 675 fps. Check out the marlin .22s

That pellet gun should work enough. Just make sure that you make good clean shots keep it under 35-40 yrds.. you should be fine.

My pellet gun shoots 625 fps, and I think that'll work.. but I usually have to shoot stuff from pretty close because my gun isn't sited that well. Only thing I've shot has been a bird of some sort.

Im not sure about squirrels but i have shot lots of gophers with a .177 500 FPS pelet gun. Even with head shots there is no instant kills. it takes a while for them to die.

I've got a Gamo 220 that shoots 1000fps:) I have killed countless squirrels with it and also two raccoons. Don't have to be real close to get the job done with this gun, but with its wierd recoil I can't get a scope to stay on it. The scope mounts slowly slide in the dovetai until they finally slide out the back which screws them up. Ive tried steel and aluminum with no luck.

By the way; its .177 caliber and what makes it really nice is it is break over, which means you break the barrel down, insurt the pellet, break it back and its ready to go(no pumping)

PoBoy ,
what you have is a pretty nice spring piston air rifle , you can't use regular scope mounts for them because of their reverse recoil . You also have to use a very tough scope too , spring pistons are brutal on optics . The Gamo website has what you want , or can steer you to a dealer .
