Best buy for traps

I want to try trapping this year. My brother and a friend has been and I've gone out with them and I just think it is just fun as hell! I want to know where I can get some traps for a good price. I've looked on Cabela's website but there isn't anything there. The only thing that I've found is on Ebay. I don't want to spent a whole lot since I'm still in college and money is tight. I also don't want to use their traps because they don't have alot and I want to do it on my own, we have our own ideas when we trap. Any info will help.

RE: Best buy for traps

Just build your own, I have 10 traps that I have built in the last 2 years. We have tinkered with a few designs and found one that we like a lot. It is light and works well. It is a lot cheaper this way, I think it cost us around $30 a trap to build. We used "3/8 pencil rod, bought 100' roll of 16 ga. 1" wire mesh, and hog rings to fasten the wire to the frames. If you have a welder you can use and a good imagination, then you are set. We got an avg. of $120 a bobcat pelt last year. Our first three cats paid for the traps, the rest was profit. Good luck!!
