To iowabuckslayer
My 225 is a model 70 winchester and it has a fully floated barrel. It appears to have come from the factory that way. It carries an old weaver k6 scope and has ridden many miles over rough pastures in my pickup. It is a very accurate rifle shooting 1.1" 5 shot 100 yd groups using factory ammo. I have never reloaded for it even though I am an avid reloader because the accuracy with factory ammo is great. I use it in the winter for coyotes and shoot praire dogs each summer. It has balistics very similiar to a 22-250 and is a joy to shoot. I got the rifle in a trade quite a few years ago. I shot it at paper to see how it grouped and quickly placed it in my gun safe as a keeper. Sorry I don't have any lend lease programs available. But if you ever run across one, they seem to be very accurate and great to shoot.

Yes, I use a 22 mag on WMA land where they don't allow center fire rifles. i generally hunt more woodsy areas there and my shots are generally less than 75 yards. I use Winch.Super X 40 grain FMJ in this gun. In other areas I use Savage 11 FNS .243 with super x 80 grains power points or 100 grains if it is deer season. HH CG
