The 17hmr is my favorite plinking round, small game hunting round (less we after rabbits, then i need the 12ga). I cant wait to pick some crows off with this it fall. The 17hmr is all that an a bag of chips Sixgun i saw the test with the Kevlar jacket, the 17hmr peirced it and the 22 mag never did. Now the jacket didnt have the steel plate in it for all you wondering, the 17 aint that lethal

Try the 17 HM2 it won't tear up squirrels.

Not as strong as 17 HMR

17 HMR is necked down 22 Mag.

17 HM2 is necked down 22 long rifle.

I think 17 HM2 is better.

thats still pretty powerful for a .17gr bullet coming from a rimfire though. The .17HMR sounds great and shoots great in my opinion and is one of the best small varmint gun i know, the ammo is even cheaper than the .22mag where i'm located.

The cheapest where i am is $10 which are federals, and it goes up to 13 for the Reminton premeire. I'm in Canada so these are Canadian funds. The Reminton premeire .22mags are $16.

Those are prices listed are for boxes of 50.
