I don't shoot them because I've never seen one. They are rare in PA. But if I ever do see one while hunting it will be shot!!

Well, I wont be squirrel hunting for awhile now bow comes in on Saturday. Maybe I'll get a deer early and get some more squirrel.

So, you guys shoot the things, skin them, cook them then eat them?

Can someone explain how to do this lol, I'm a newb.(just need to know how to skin them, and can someone give me a recipie to use squirrels in?

Got those hunting and firearm safety books and I'm going to a class tomorrow:D Can't wait to hunt.

I have came to the conclusion that in most states the squirrel season ends jan 31st so instead of jan 1 for the end of the contest it will be jan 31st

Congratulations to all the successful hunters!

I still have yet to shoot a single one this season. [&o] They just don't seem to be moving much in my spots, but now the leaves are falling. Hopefully I'll have a little more luck spotting them and moving in without spooking them all. Now if I can get away from work and chores at home for a little while.

I seen squirrels in my yard but in the woods they have camo on and the

leaves are thick as molassas.

Maybe when the leaves fall I can see some. LOL

JoeinNY what kind of gun is in your pictures?

If I can get my truck fixed I can go to a better squirrel spot.

Jrbsr, that gun is a Gamo Young Hunter, it shoots 640 fps and does the job. It is a pellet gun.

Believe me, I know what you mean! I live in a "city", and local ordinances prohibit shooting/hunting within the limits. Not to mention I have houses on all sides anyway.

I swear, every time I get home from the woods, the neighborhood tree rat commitee is sitting on the fence, waiting to greet me. I hear them scampering across my roof at all hours of the day, but I can't even look at one in the wild without sending him flying off somewhere!

Oh well, at least my dog is having a good time chasing them around the back yard. ;)

I shot one today. I got in the woods after school and missed a few times, then finally settled down and got the job done. I will post the pics when my dad sends them to me.

I guess I shoulda joined this thing, I though there were serious squirrel hunters out there (like the deer sections) I’ve got'n well over 30 this year with the 77/22 mag. I guess next year I might have join since there aint much for competition. good luck guys
