I always heard them called Wobbles they come out after the first frost

Thats when I go squirrel hunting after they fall out.

You learn something every day

Where in the US are the things primarily found at? I dont recollect ever seeing them around here, and I'm glad I haven't cause the wife would freak out.

just a parisite , only in hot weather.when I was a kid ,they called them wolves.
I always heard if you see a cow running with it's tail held out stright or up high , it was trying to get away from the fly.the fly lays an egg in a small wound and the wolf starts to grow till grown and falls out to become another fly and the cycle starts all over again.
nature has many wonders.

They've always been called wolves around here as well. The other day when I was bowhunting, I had a squirrel with one get several inches in front of me. Really freaky when you see those things up close and personal.
