ORIGINAL: RustyOlRanger4x4 never knew we had them here ive only seen them on tv I even saw some guy on the discovery channel i believe who got one in him over in asia or something and he let it live in him till i believe the pain became unbarrable or something I cant really remember but doctors had to remove it surgicly(sp?) i think it was on his stomach but it was pretty big and he was a very very wierd guy he named it george and he totes it around in a jar now |

Im not sure what the guys name was but i still see parts and pieces on the discovery channel every once in awhile its been awhile since ive really paid attention to it though

they get pretty big too The guy I saw on tv said his was about the size of a large almond and it looked about that size to but when I got them pictures they also had some of "lumpy" squirels who were covered in them and they looked like mutants or something they were really nasty

are you guys talking bout warvils/weevles/wolvs what ever you may call them. I seen them in a rabbit once, had it hanging up pullthe skin down aroun its neck and 2 fell out, big holes in its neck, i gaged pretty rough seein that =/

these are called bot flies I posted pictures farther up but there about the size of an almond im not sure about the weevel things your talking about though

found one in the chest cavity of a deer I killed last year. It had come into the chest cavity from the nasal passage when I was hosing it out. it freaked me out a bit. I butchered the thing but wasn't sure I would eat it till I did some research and found out what they are. They lay eggs on the deers nose, deer licks its nose and the larva make their way into the nasal passage. the pupus grows there and then drops out/gets sneezed out and the fly hatches. creepy damned things. And the meat was still tasty.
