South Dakota prairie dog hunt!
My grandparents own ranch land in western South Dakota. I was wondering how much people would be willing to pay to hunt there per day? It is hardly ever hunted, so they are still outragously stupid! I thought it would be a chanch for him to get rid of them and maybe make a little money.

RE: South Dakota prairie dog hunt!
most folks let you shoot for free considering the more you shoot the less the little @#$@ have a chance to dig your fields up.
when i was a kid we'd drive along the back roads and shoot them by the hundreds. |

I would be willing to pay a per diem fee to harvest a large number of praire dogs, in exchange for electricity hookup for my RV reasonable close to the dogs. If this is possible, please send me details of the ranch. I can do without electric, but it is preferred. Thanks, J.Y. Massey

It's hard to say...most of the time farmers are happy to have people shoot vermints on their property to help save their fields and animals.

RE: South Dakota prairie dog hunt!
i would gladly go shooting out there as long as there is enough that you don't have to search very hard to find them. Me and my cousin sat in the farm truck and drove up and down a 200yrd road for around 2 hrs and killed over 50, thats the kind of shooting i like.

It seems strange to me that the ranchers out there whine all the time about the prairie dog problem and then will let you shoot them only if you will pay. They would rather poison them than let someone come out and shoot them for free.
