Before you shoot from a truck check your state laws . I ohio shooting from inside ,from the bed standing on or even resting the bipod on the hood will get you a ticket . A friend was ticketed for standing on the tailgate and resting his bipod on the cap . Don't remember the cost but he was PISSED

Yo, you need to lighten up johnhc, its not like i'm shooting big game, i'm just shooting varmints on my own property. You Americans are so up tight. In Canada (where i live) every farmer i see killing gophers and what not just drives his truck around in the field and shoots from the cab, it works great.

We where shooting on privit prop., parked 200 yds off the road ,shooting away from the road .In Ohio we have some stupid game laws and some gamewardens with a god complex ,they are union ( not that all unions are bad) and they only want to work thier 40 hrs ,some will ticket you for spitting and then not check out a poached deer dumped next to the road.

does anyone use dogs?
I'm new to this forum and I think its pretty fun to use my Jack Russells
we got a lot of land and a lot of OLD BARNS and all I gotta do is start walking
if I me or the dogs dont see or smell one we head for one of the barns
which is a guaranteed catch. I let the dogs off the lead they find the best hole.
kill it and drag it out. Usually it only takes one dog to GIT UR DONE.
If they scare it out instead I get em with a Springfield .22LR
dont really need much more. I also hunt coons, opossum, and basically anything else I can get.
