Traditions Buck Hunter Pro .54 caliber inline muzzleloader , #11 cap , 100 grains of Pyrodex RS , .54 roundball or sabot .

This combo allows me to deer hunt without mortgaging my home and accomodates both our gun and muzzleloader seasons .

In ohio you can only use shotguns and front loaders.........i bow hunt all the way to gun season in the first week of december, i use 870 remington with 3" Brenneke Rottweil slugs. Deer get so close to you when i shoot the get plowed over and i never had one run more than 40 yds.

50 cal. thompson cap lock or a rem 700 .308. these two really do the job. why would be because you don't have to shoot twice or go looking for your deer. great guns

Muzleloader, all season. T/C Omega, .50 cal.

Why? No rifles allowed where I live, and I'm not much of a slug-gun fan. Muzzleloading is one heck of a hobby though.

I really like my .243 for deer hunting so i stick with that most the time, altho this year due to scope problems i used a .280 and liked that too.
