Beaver season....
 

Hey folks spring has sprung and the ice should be off the rivers here within 3 weeks. I am just sittin here twidling my thumbs before i can get back home and start shooting and trapping beavers. Last year the ice came off the river on my land april 21st i expect it to be around that time again this year. I don't plan on putting any traps out till the ice is off because otherwise the water level rises too fast and i end up swimming to them lol. This just may be my favorite time of the year. Does anyone else hunt or trap them? If so when are you starting up?

lol, my 270s at my ex girlfriends house for this very reason, all of the beavers were eating the trees in there orchard above there house. so i let them borrow my gun. i went out one nite but didnt see any.

I trap them and love it. I'm done for the year. Just pulled my traps this past weekend. Our ice went out mid February, They were starting to fight here and the last two I caught were bit up pretty bad. I got 28 this spring.
