His teeth are very white and not worn that much, which indicates he is fairly young. I've seen a couple other wolverine in person though, and he is about the same size as them. From what I've been seeing, the wolverine and fox on the north slope are generally larger than those down south.

The wolverine is frozen solid and laying on an old futon mattress. The wolverine is nice and all, but he'll never replace teddy. [8D][8D]

Yes, they are the largest member of the weasle family.

They are also called skunk bears because they stiiiiink! Luckily this guy was frozen, and didn't stink too bad. I've handled a freshly killed one and had the pleasure of finding out why it is called a skunk bear. Whhooooooeeee!

Congrats on you catch. I have seen two of them in the Crazy mountains of Montana. They are very quick to leave when they see humans. They are also very mean looking. I shot at one with my bow but I missed the shot.[:@] I would like to have one mounted above the fireplace.

A wolverine with a bow would be a pretty sweet trophy! That arrow going through him would be a good feeling, as long as he didn't come after you! I wouldn't pass up the chance if I had it though.

I was debating on a rug or a lifesize mount. I just talked to my taxidermist, and decided on the full body mount. Ouch on the price, but I just paid off my bear rug so I'll just keep making the same monthly payments. [&:]

I need to include taxidermy into my monthly budget! Got a few critters that I'm paying for a little at a time.

ABM, I thought I'd go a whole year without being envious of your hunting oppertunities and catches, even stayed away from the big game forum to play it safe. Thought I was safe here and look at what you've gone and done. I'm envious again. Congrats, pretty nice and unique looking animal!!! Juniorpc.

For anybody interested, I got him weighed today, he's a solid 28 pounds. The solid being that he is frozen solid.

He's headed south so my brother can take him to get sealed and stuffed for me at the taxidermist.
