Your favorite for squirrels

What rifles/shotguns are your favorites for squirrels???
What calls/methods are your favorite???

I personally enjoy using .177 air rifles with pointed pellets and taking jack russel terriers. Otherwise I take a bolt action .410, or a .22 lr.

GOTTA LOVE THAT MARLIN MAGIC!!!!

I use a Remington 1100 for squirrels. I use a bark call to find them from long distances. Then when I am up close I make a clicking noise with my mouth, it works all right.

nothing beats following a good tree dog looking for squirrels, I raise feist dogs and they normally go about 100 or so yrds and tree the squirrel then you walk up and look for it to shoot, kinda like coonhunting during the day. I like using a 22 when the leaves are off and a 410 when the leaves are on

I love to hunt squirrels. I might go out after church this morning. When do you guys see most of the squirrels early morning or afternoon? They say they eat twice a day.I would think they would be better in the morning.

I use my Ruger 77-22lr most all of the time. With ammo in short supply I threatened to use my Ruger 77-220 swift but haven't yet.
Just bought a Savage 93F 22 mag I will use also.

I like to just go into the hard woods and sit on a bucket I painted flat black and wait for them to get active again. Normally I can shoot a limit in about a half hour.

In this area they start feeding heavy about 8:00 AM and go till about 11:00 AM then they seem to go sleep till about 3:00 PM and go till dark.

I use the mid day time to scout for them.
