Squirrals Acting Funny.

Has anyone noticed squirrels acting funny?
I noticed 8 to 12 squirrels eating like they are starving to death.

Maybe it means a hard winter.

So anyone else seeing this behavior?
They were eating the acorns not carring them off.

I suspect what you mistake for the squirrels eating was actually them gathering food and putting it in their cheeks to take back to their stash that they use to carry them through hard times in winter.

Next time I see a squirrel I'll let you know.....

I've got about ten hours in what used to be good squirrel woods this year and I've seen one fox squirrel way off. Really makes me question my skill level.

I got way more squirrels than deer. Grey, reds and a ton of chipmunks.

I've got a ton of gray squirrels around my house . Common for me to see 10-15 at a time on my front and back lawn. They are off limits ! I consider them my " Lawn Maintenance Crew " They clean my lawn off from all the white acorns so I dont have to deal with it. Right now they work for the nuts . But if they start a " Acorn Pickers Union " I will be forced to give them a raise ! :happy0157:

So... you’re saying they’re acting a bit... squirrelly...? :p

Squirrels are similar to hamsters, they fill the cheeks as much as possible and transfer food to a safe place.
