Ruger Model-77 Mark-II chambered in 223. This is a light carry rifle that will work for both critters. IMHO a shotgun is a better choice for rabbits, and a centerfire rifle is a better choice for coyotes.

The 22mag. is what your looking for. I' ve got one and use it from coyote to jack rabbit, a great round and very accurate Got it zeroed at around 125yd. No complaints

Marlin bolt action .22mag here for jacks and coyote. Cottontail I use the good ' ol .22Lr. The .22mag. punches a too big a hole out of a cottontail , but it' s not bad out of a jack. Coyote pelts are not damaged much from a .22mag. It' s not that a .22Lr won' t knock down a ' yote , I feel more comfortable with it when i' m gonna take out a 35-40 lb critter.
