I would call it a Fox Squirrel. There are Fox Squirrels in the Chesapeake bay area that have no red at all, the Delmarva Fox Squirrel.

it is a fox squirrel, he looks whiter than the pic does, 2nd one I've saw like this, we have black ones also, most are just brown like you see in pics.

I have one that makes a few outings in the early A.M. that is totally black, believe it just the rat variety grey, but its nice to catch a glimpse of him from tine to time, no Fox squirrels down here in Dismal Swamp surroundings

Yes a fox squirrel. I seen them a little lighter to darker . We have fox squirrels everywhere.

Cool. I see quite a few road kill fox squirrels but most of them are pretty squished. Weirdest thing I ever found road killed was an otter that wasn't damaged at all and was in winter prime. Got $100 selling it green and unskinned to the local furbuyer. $100 bill lying on the side of the road.
