Slept in. Decided not to hunt deer this afternoon.
Got in the woods at 11am. Heavy pressure public. Missed 1 almost shot at 2 more. Got within 20 yards of 2 yotes. Big Zero for me on bushytails.
Hope to get this big fox squirrel I saw twice today. Suppose to get down to 29 degrees .

Yesterday evening I had my chance at the big fox at 20 yards but he just didnt stay still long enough. It was dead calm so i just stayed in one spot. Missed a gray that hunt too. Another Zero for me.

I got him. A quick hunt after work tonite yielded a Big Ole Fox Squirrel right at sunset. A trophy in my book. Made me reminisce 21 years ago when I first started hunting. The smell of hog crap in the air, pretty crunchy leaves and a big fox squirrel with a hole in his head.

Sure was nice out this morning. I bought a cup of coffee, drove out and just went and sat in the woods for a couple hours.
