Squirrel hunting solo

Do you squirrel hunt with buddies or by yourself?? I'd say 99% of my squirrel hunts are solo. Do you prefer to hunt alone?

When I do hunt with people we usually split up and hunt alone anyway.

Still hunting slowly through a wood block with a few friends can be effective for squirrel though. Spread out, go slow, and be aware of where everyone is.

Well I'll be. A co worker just recently invited me to squirrel hunt with him on his private land. Thank you Lord

Depends how you hunt them. One of the most productive ways I used to hunt them was walking a long line of Hickory trees on a treeline between fields with my dad or a brother. One person on each side of the tree line walking in line. The squirrels would move from one side of the tree to the other and made easy pickings. It was not unusual to have a limit or close to it by the time we walked that tree line. When alone, I picked a good spot in the woods and sat down and waited.

I usually hunt alone and kind of prefer it that way, the only people that occasionally go with me are my 15 year old grandson or my younger brother.

I prefer hunting with a good squirrel dog being a good squirrel dog is always on the opposite side of the tree.

I hunt solo as I try to emulate our forefathers suirrel hunting in the 1800's. I use a .32 caliber flint lock. When other hunters see me coming out of the woods with my squirrel rifle they sometimes s****** until they see me pull 2-3 squirrels from my bag, all head shots.

Never cared to squirrel hunt alone.
Would usually take my son or a friend.
Some times I'd do some walks scouting for deer signs.
But was never alone - Had a trained dog that just loved to hunt squirrels.
Dog would find squirrels - I could look for signs (and watch out for snakes).
That dog spend 24-7 365 days a year "protecting" the place.
Least I could do was to take her hunting 4 or 5 times.
