Field mice or house mice? I would wait til it gets colder and their fur is prime.

House mice that no doubt came in from the field.

The wife was not happy when I pulled that out of her cupboard.

The cat was happy when I took it outside for her though.

Got two more mice over night, and also two rat spammers on the forum.

Good hunting

I've got Terriers, they live to hunt Mice, Rats and Rodents in general. I have to call them in or bribe them with food to get them indoors at night.

The downside is they dig, they even dug out a Mole last week. They left a two foot deep hole doing it.

One brought me a Dove a few hours ago.

Anything that isn't another dog is fair game and their prey drive is really strong. One is fifteen years old and brought the wife a dead Rat as a present awhile back. Dropped it right in front of the oven. The wife wasn't delighted and refused to cook it.
I've got a giant Walnut tree and numerous Berry bushes in the back garden, keeps the Dogs occupied.

That looks like a booner mouse for sure. Should score pretty high. Would make a nice mount with that back stripe down its back.

Ordinarily I set up traps when it gets cold but didn't this year and the wife found some droppings in a drawer for the first time ever. In all the years we have had a few in the cellar but not in the house so I went to the store and got some new Victors and set them up with chunky peanut butter.. I got 5 in 2 days all in the garage and cellar.and now nothing so I must have cleaned them out. The drawer invader must have come up from the cellar through plumbing holes under the kitchen counter. I'll keep the traps doing all winter now.
