I think a pop up blind would be more trouble than what you would gain.

A mirror to reflect in the hole. Will definitely give that a try. I don't think you need a pop up blind. Just find a comfortable spot and sit down.

The mirror thing is new to me, but not legal in PA.

§ 2309. Unlawful removal of game or wildlife from place of
refuge.
(a) General rule.--It is unlawful for any person to cut any
dead or living tree, use smoke or any other method to take any
game or wildlife or dig any game or wildlife out of its place of
refuge or den.

Welcome aboard. Good luck with your tree rats. They go good with dumplings. Pan fried isn't bad with lots of garlic, or in a roaster with a mildly spicy tomato sauce.

Burnin hot, the trick is just like hunting deer, keep your rifle in a position where it doesn't take much movement to move it and move very slowly when you do move. Quick movement will give you away every time. I think a pop up blind would be a PIA unless you can take all your squirrels without moving to another spot.

That's what I thought. I usually have to track them down with sound or movement. I also think the blind would limit a lot of viewing area.
