I'd like to count that rabbit... But as it is a squirrel contest, only squirrel.... Maybe next year we could vote on the competition allowing other small game or if it should just stay a squirrel competition. Any thoughts on that?

Ya, ya I know. I got that. I was just saying I would LIKE to count it. I'm like you and often hunt both when they are in season together. Friday is our rabbit and pheasant opener so I'll be out in the fields friday.

same here, we have a few rabbits that we feed every summer only for most of them to get killed in the road. The wife won't let me shoot them even if I wanted to.

I cut my teeth on rabbit hunting, then squirrel when a teenager darn shame!!

Every one around here blame coyotes for the decline in the rabbit population but I believe it is the hawks to blame. There are hundreds of them, on a 45 minute drive to an adjoining town we counted over 90 of them on the power lines.

Been out a few times not a single squirrel in site. But deer season starts next saturday so won't be going for squirrels unless it's later in day.

This not being able to hunt is killing me. UUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Even the squirrels are laughing at me.
There was about four of them in the back yard, with one foot on their mouth, and the other one pointing at me snickering.
