I went out really early today and shot 2. Had a great sit with temps in the upper 50s.

Usually the modified choke that came with it. Later in the season I'll switch to a .22, or occasionally a full choke on the Maverick.

Pellets hitting the body are pretty much inevitable when squirrel hunting with a shotgun. The trick is finding shot big enough to pass clean through the squirrel, but not big enough to break bone. #4 lead is what I've settled on. And of course always clean carefully.

Oh I used a 410 last year but changed to a .22 this year cause the price of shotgun shells is so high compared to .22
