I found them mostly early morning before 8 am and late afternoon. Not as many as there once was but some are still around. 17 HMR does nice job on them and far out ones 243 reaches them.

On a hot day, hunt them early AM or before dusk. Cooler days, hunt when sun is out. Hunt after a rain, because that is how they get their water - from getting it off the grass.
