I went to a new farm tonight and had a fun hunt. After 6 minutes of distress sounds, I switched to Platinum Gray and had a gray fox rip out of hedgerow right next to me. It saw me and took off. I switched to Screamin Gray and I could see the gray fox maneuvered through the security of the hedgerow. I scanned to open field to see eyes ripping toward the call. I could see it was a red fox and it was not slowing down!

I lip squeaked and the fox halted. I took the easy 50 yard shot and the fox was anchored on the spot. Upon inspection, it was small female that was in perfect condition.

The night prior I whacked one the wasn't so pretty...

Gang,

This hunt captures the drawing power of Platinum Gray Fox Distress...

I saw eyes as I entered the field (night Hunting). The critter (I had no idea what it was at this point) clearly saw me. It was motionless as I settled down to call to it. For a few minutes, it never moved. I could see it was not a deer, but it could have been anything else.

I lip squeaked and it still held its ground. Then I grabbed the Fusion out of my vest and sent some Baybee cottontail it's way. That got it to move up the hedgerow a few yards.

Now, I could see I was dealing with a fox as it darted just inside the edge of the woods. I switched to Platinum Gray and out the fox came. I settled the lit reticle on the eyes and down it went on the spot.

The second fox came to Platinum Gray Distress in the standard call and approach. Again, I hit the fox in the head. Gotta love that sound.

The morning after....
