Coyote hunting in Connecticut?
I was wondering whats the rules on coyote hunting in Connecticut as I couldn't find much. My neighborhood has been having issues with aggressive coyotes that have been killing dogs and apparently have been following people etc. They closed down two parks and a hiking trail near me. My town doesn't allow rifle hunting but bow hunting and my neighbor has about 30ish acres of land next to him he's allowed to deer hunt and if I can hunt coyotes I doubt he'd have an issue with it. Setup some rabbit decoys, a call, and whack them out of a tree stand or a pop up blind. Considering how bold they think they are it shouldn't be hard to get them within like 50 yards or less. Anyone got any info?
All I found was this: http://www.cga.ct.gov/2013/rpt/2013-R-0465.htm |
Here is a link to the Connecticut Dept. of Environmental Protection. This will have the most information of hunting regulations and contact information for an unanswered questions.

I enjoy Hunting Coyotes from my various ladder/tree stands, being up high gives You a better view and Your scent is off the ground also.I usually put out a motion decoy and hang a feather from a low tree branch or use my H.S. Feather Distractor that's on a folding plastic stick out from where Im calling.
I usually use my CZ .204 Rifle or my Savage Axis Camo .223,gonna get me a CZ or Savage .22 Hornet next! ;) |
