Default RE: Bobcat Rut ?????

It is a fair assumption that bobcats have the same gestation period of a housecat, but I think that 10 weeks is a long time, dogs only take 65 days, and I thought cats were shorter. I saw two cats while deer hunting the other day, definately a male and female, they were ruining my hunt, but I figured I watch them for a while just to see what they were doing. They came in from opposite sides of me, scratching trees the whole way, the male scenting on everything, and the female sniffing. They came together about 20 yrds in front of me, never hooked up, but sniffed eachother for a long time, then walked off into the creek together, then someone else shot a deer near me, so I left, I too should have taken the male, would have made a nice body mount.

GOTTA LOVE THAT MARLIN MAGIC!!!!
