Affordable dog tracking system
We are looking for an affordable dog tracking system for our beagle while rabbit hunting. We only have a one beagle, so it only needs to work for 1 dog. Something under $200 would be great. Any suggestions?

best one be a bell i bought from a setter trail guy that is in coverdog .
the bell is very good and loud and i can here my dog out too 100 yards .
i think i got it shipped for 30 dollars.
he makes handmade bells.
for 200 dollars you would have to go the second hand route i believe on gps collar .
with alpha out now at 800 dollars many astros or older ones are selling cheaper used.
another option is to get a 100 dollar beeper collar new.
you push button and you can hear beep from the dogs collar.
i think sportdog makes one for 100 dollars.

We have a Garmin set up for our coon hounds, but it sure wasn't cheap!
I think there's going to be an absolute revolution in this market in the next year or two that will knock the bottom out of Garmin's market, working on one myself with my brother-in-law.
Look for "child trackers", or even a cell phone app that tracks cell phone sim cards, then buy a crappy tracphone or used phone that's still active.
