Raccoon trapping

Trying to get rid of a raccoon at the deer hunting camp. Nothing personal just business ;)

Don't see him enough during daylight hours, or the ol' shooting iron(s) would take care of him.

What kind of traps do you use for Raccoon? Any particular sets? Watched a YouTube video where the guy used a bucket set, but wasn't sure if there were other methods.

This time of year you'll probably run into a few issues if you're setting traps, considering trapping season is closed. You're always able to protect your property from invasive game, but you have to be considerate of your method. Grab a live trap, put out a small tin of wet cat food, and you'll have a coon in a hurry. What you do with them after that is your business as long as you dispose of it properly.

Thanks for the scoop.

That's how I got them out of our barn.... Live trap and Sardines. Sardines are like chocolate to coons.

Peanutbutter and marshmallowes are good coon bait also

Sardines, tuna, deer corn, peanut butter, marshmallows, koolaid, table scraps almost anything really. If you have them at your feeders then the one at deer camp is likely to be at your feeders also. Live trap, a dog proof staked pretty well with a syrupy marshmallow.
