Coyote Down with the .17 HMR
2 Attachment(s)
Friday night I called this yote in within 30 seconds. He almost ran us over! I had to take a running shot on him from about 20 yards. Between the excitement and trying to get the light on him, I'm surprised I hit him. He went about 75 yards and piled up. The bullet entered his rear right thigh/hip and traveled into his vitals. At least that's what I concluded when I cut him open and his chest cavity was filled with blood. This is my first successful coyote hunt, excluding the one I killed while deer hunting in 2007.

Untouchable........ NOT him.
Congrats !!! Keep up the good work ! :-) |
Thanks guys! My friend was gonna mount him for me, but he was 38 inches long without the tail. The Van Dyke's book she had only had mounts up to 34 inches. Plus, he had a partial bald spot on his back either from mange or crawling under fences.
