Got my first coyote!!

Finally got my first coyote. What a rush.Got a late start this morning didnt get to my tree stand until 11am. Hit my electronic caller for a few with a cottontail distress. Then i just sat quiet everything was silent. i look off to my right and there here comes a coyote about 40 yards when i saw him, he had taken a path i couldnt see. As he passed a big tree i got into position. Then he took a right and stopped, put his head up and sniffed,I thought " im busted". He took a few more steps and stopped at about 30 yards looked at me as a put the crosshairs between his eyes then it was lights out. He never moved an inch. Got him with my new marlin 17hmr. 17 grain hornady vmax dropped him right there.

First one is always a "rush".
................and it gets even better, as you get better. I'd recommend you only take head shots with your .17HMR. Congratulations bud !!! |
