RE: .17 HMR
I wasn' t going to share this but...............back to the cat shooting. We have...correction,.....had.....two cats that were wild that kept getting in the garage and walking all over my Jeeps. I couldn' t take it anymore. The first cat I shot with my Marlin 17 I hit it in the shoulder and it went down instantly. It made a hole the size of a grapefruit on the exit. The shot was 80 yards. The other cat was a big tomcat. I decided to shoot this one in the head. I got within 60 yards of the cat and put the crosshairs square in the back of the head, pulled the trigger and it collapsed on impact. Afterwards I reflected on what I did and felt horrible. [>:]

RE: .17 HMR
If they where true feral cats, i wouldnt feel to bad about it. Cats will kill squirrels and rabbits for the he** of it, not just for food. From your post it sounds like the hummer gave them an honest no pain funeral. Now if they where your neighbors cats on the other hand [:' (]

RE: .17 HMR
Cats multiply like rabbits around here. Somebody has got to keep the population in check. The owners don' t care and the animal control aint doing much.

RE: .17 HMR
In that case nothing to feel sorry about.
