Default Rabits ... Now?

Im out in Nevada (Northern, Winnemucca) our rabbit season for Cottontail opens tomorrow and im wondering if its too early to hunt for the meat as we have weather in the high 70s low 80's durring the day and mid 40's at night. I know riding a Motor Cycle to work is FREEEZING, but is this enough to rid the Cottontails of their disease / germs and allow them to be eatten later on if i hunt tomorrow?

PS the ground hasnt quite " FROZEN " but my door stuck this morning lol.

Just a little worried about harvesting earlie. Any help would be appreciated.
