RE: bobcats
I saw what was either a bobcat or Lynx the other day when coming home from friends house. I do remember this one time when i was at a dry river bank letting my dog (before i had to get rid of him because of a stupid cat) run around and getting silly. He spotted a Lynx and chased after it. Happy to say it got away rather then make a stand, it was would have torn Traz up easily.

RE: bobcats
Bobcat are legal in Oregon if you have a furbearers permit. I see them sometimes up in the hills. I don' t remember ever hearing about one attacking a person, at least not around here. There was an incident where a guy was reaching to pick something up next to his barn and one happened to be under the barn and reached out and swatted at the guy' s arm. That would be enough to scare you if you weren' t expecting it!

RE: bobcats
We have lots around here as well, and more and more Canadian Lynx due to a re-introduction program. They are, however very elusive (like our lions) and one should consider themselves fortunate to see one. I have never heard of any " problems" or any human conflicts. Certainly far less of a problem than free-ranging cattle.

RE: bobcats
With Bobcats we shoot them where ever we see them ,I just got one last week after my livestock . As long as they are bothering domestic animals there is a open season on them according to the local biologist . Between them the coons and coyotes we have a lot less game than there used to be here . Guess its time to clean house so to speak

RE: bobcats
bothering live stock what do you raise chickens ? we have lots of cats and yotes and about any other furbearer you can think of and we have all types of livestock never have much problem with bobcats killing anything but fowl
