RE: Which Rifle?
I prefer the 22-250 Rem. If you are worried about pelt damage, use a FMJ bullet.

RE: Which Rifle?
223 and the 22-250 are both excellent calibers. The 22-250 has a much flatter trajectory, while the 223 is cheaper to shoot and can hold its own well over 200 yards.
It's pretty much a toss-up from there. |
RE: Which Rifle?
Perfect yote gun in my eyes: over and under .222 20 guage combo. But if you can't find one of them, .22-250, .223, .25-06, .243, 7.62x39mm, 7mm-08, .260. Any rifle can be made a good yote rifle, just depends on the load, I've used 55 grain .30-06 partitions and was more than satisfied with the results.

RE: Which Rifle?
The 22-250, Is an excellent coyote Mine is a T/C carbine is shoots flat and accurate brass is cheap so are the bullets. My choice would be 22-250 hands down

RE: Which Rifle?
Consider a 17 Remington. I have one and it is a great shooter. My friends have labeled the grenade launcher. It does little pelt damage and drops them like they are hit by lightning.

RE: Which Rifle?
I use either a .223 or a 22 hornet depending on where I'm hunting. My dad uses a 7-08. I use nosler combined technology balistic tip partions and my dad uses barnes xlc's to mininmize destorying the coyote.
