Bobcat hunting question

I am in the market to bag a bobcat from our property to have mounted and I have questions.

What is an ideal caliber for shooting one?
Where is the ideal shot placement?
What caliber is to big?

.204, .22-250, .223 :arms:

Heart, lungs ..............for mounting

Anything bigger then .243, but bullet selection is everthing if the pelt is the main concern.

honestly, look at setting a few snares out, or a other traps, they work 24/7 and the dark of night doesnt bother them... I dont know your trapping regs down there, but it is the easiest way to catch a varmint!!
