I've seen 'em a few times while deer hunting, but never shot any.

I did a lot of running them with hounds back in the late 70s and 80s. Havent doine much lately, although I have been out spotlighting them a couple times or going out in warm weather in the daytime and shooting them out of the forks of trees with a pistol.

My brother and I run hounds. He has a Blue Tick a and I run a Black and Tan. Good meat dogs. We have a blast.

I lion hunt with hounds, and have been to California a couple times coon hunting. It is a good time. Plan to go to California a few times this year again and chase some bandits around. Coonhounds are addicting, lol.

Later,

Marcial

Had a good coon dog, when i was growing up. Nothing special, just a mutt, but he had a real hate for coons. There was never a shortage of coons to keep out of the crops... those were fun times. Would love to coon hunt again, but my dog hates guns. He has no trouble treeing a coon, but soon as the gun comes out he;s gone!

yikes, thats a problem.

My lab loves the sound of gunfire.

Ive been seeing them on my trailcam, I have been baiting them in the area so they will move away from the houses to an area where I can do some shooting. They only come between like 2-4 am though and well its just hard to get up/stay up til then.
