Lightbulb Coyote Hunting

We decided this year that we were going to have some fun and coyote hunt. Our friend has a Foxpro caller and we had fun calling crows and squirrels, but no coyotes. Does anybody have any tips as to where to hunt (hollows, creek bottoms, etc.) and anything else?

i live in pa an we have done some fox hunting an recently started callin in coyotes on a few farms using cottontail in distress..usually pretty late after 9pm until about 2am.. the farms are pretty decent size an have some thick patches of woods an not many houses. they also have creeks running through them. I know they are cautious animals if something doesnt look right or smell right when coming in, They are gone! Not sure if this is much help or not. Good luck

If they come in they will try to get down wind of you so try to place yourself where you can see down wind as well as up. I like to use the female invitation howl on my foxpro now that it's breeding season. Best advice is just to be patient and don't give up. They can be frustrating but when there's action, it's fun!
