dead coyote on the ice
 

any ideas on getting a dead coyote off a river full of very thin ice? It's about 50-75 yards off shore.. had to take the shot there

Best bet would be a fishing pole, medium action or stiffer, and some sort of weight and treble hook (musky/pike lure). cast past it and reel in your yote-fish!

times like these call for a grappling gun/hook like batman

I like schobs idea. Use braided line and heavy lure, it will cast a mile.

I know this may sound rough... But be safe...

Forget about it... There isnt any coyote worth risking your life over... Its probabley good and frozen to the ice by now... So a drag line probabley wont work... and just being by the edge of the water is Dangerous enough.. Just remember that the next time you hunt that spot and if they are on the ice let them go... or at least get to the other side...

There are plenty of coyotes out there... Go get the next one...
