Best Coyote/Fox Caliber
Just curious as to what everyone out there uses. I use a .222 Remington and a .223 Remington for hunting during the day. At night I use an Remington 11-87 with 3 1/2 in. Copper Plated BBs.
i use a 12 gauge 3" with a turkey choke with number 4 shot... and a 30-30 for longer shots
Mostly .243 and 6mm-06, but I have a 223 and 22-250 too
.204 with 40 gr V-max, if it's windy .243 with 75 gr. V-max.
22-250 with 53gr sierra matchking hollow points, only shot 1 fox with them at 350 yards so of course no exit. Not sure how it will react when shooting them at under 100 yards
22-250 all the way. Fast, sraight, and has the knock down power.... Shells are expensive tho! .223 is a great gun for yotes too.
.223 is fine.....i like both the 22-250 and 223 ..there is no exit wound because the damage is inside. fatality !!! without a doubt
good up to 1000 yards |
223 is a good gun for yotes, put the bullet where it counts!
1,000 yards; that's a lot of wind to dope with that little pill !?!?
Go get'em BIG GUY ! |
I like using my 22-250 or my .243
