Maybe taken this to serious....
25 degrees, 30-40mph wind... but it was all worth it... My compadre shot another band... he is like a band magnet... His first Pigeon ever... a Peach colored red bar... Double banded.... Lucky...
We stuck it out.. though... killed 57 in about 3.5 hours.. the wind made it real hard...

I cant get enough...
finished church, got a quick bite to eat... With the time change we knew that the birds would be feeding early so we had to bust tail to get out there...
2 hours, 72 birds, and another band... real old bird this time, banded in 92, well at least that is what the band said... I know they get old but that old... Does anyone know.. thats like 17 years... am I right..

Dave, Your right
For sure, location is key... But anywhere I have ever resided I was able to to find good huntable flocks. Any half way decent town has a inner city population that has to come to the feilds to feed. Along with any good feedlots, Dairys, etc. You are bound to find them. I have hunted 30 bird flocks with decoys, to 10,000 bird flocks coming out of the big cities in waves..
Just have to do the leg work, the nice thing, there isnt many people doing it.....YET....
Guys spend Big "$" to travel out of country to do what we have in our back yard...
